Why Practicing Relaxation During Your Pregnancy is Important.

Updated: Jun 15, 2021

Whether you listen to guided relaxations, or you have a meditative practice; relaxation is very important for you and your baby during pregnancy and these are my top 3 reasons why.

1. Hormones

Recent research shows that practicing relaxation daily during pregnancy is very important. It helps your body have a stable production of all the hormones needed during pregnancy. It also helps you get rid of any physical and emotional stress.

Stress and anxiety can affect your pregnancy and can also have a negative impact on your birth and your baby.

2. Your Body

Relaxation also helps keep your immune system strong and allows better blood flow, which means better blood flow to your baby as well.

3. Your Baby

In terms of your baby, most of our HypnoBirthing families share that their babies sleep and feed better after the birth (compared to those of the general public). Also, many families report utilising the HypnoBirthing techniques to help calm their babies when they are fussy.

By practicing relaxation every day, you will be able to have a more comfortable pregnancy and an easier birth.
